A complication is a single, often repeated action or highly glanceable unit of information on the watchface.
Principles
The following sections describe principles to keep in mind when creating complications.
Glanceable
Complications are small components that typically can show one data value at a cursory glance.
Content forward
Complications are most valuable when the content that the user needs is made visible by simply raising their wrist, without needing further interaction.
Privacy first
Avoid placing sensitive information on complications so that sensitive information isn't accidentally displayed when the user raises their wrist.
Complication entry points
When tapped, complications usually open a corresponding app. However, they can also perform a self-contained action. For example, tapping the Water Count complication changes the glass count.
