Sui dispositivi con Android 8.0 (livello API 26) e versioni successive, l'accoppiamento dei dispositivi associati esegue una ricerca Bluetooth o Wi-Fi dei dispositivi nelle vicinanze per conto della tua app, senza richiedere l'autorizzazione ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION. Ciò contribuisce a massimizzare la protezione della privacy degli utenti. Una volta accoppiato, il dispositivo può sfruttare le autorizzazioni REQUEST_COMPANION_RUN_IN_BACKGROUND e REQUEST_COMPANION_USE_DATA_IN_BACKGROUND per avviare l'app in background. Utilizza questo metodo per eseguire la configurazione iniziale del dispositivo associato, ad esempio uno smartwatch con funzionalità BLE. Inoltre, l'accoppiamento di dispositivi associati richiede l'attivazione dei servizi di geolocalizzazione.

L'accoppiamento del dispositivo associato non crea connessioni autonomamente. Le API Bluetooth e Wi-Fi per la connettività stabiliscono le connessioni. Inoltre, l'accoppiamento del dispositivo associato consente la scansione continua.

Un utente può selezionare un dispositivo da un elenco e concedergli l'autorizzazione ad accedere a un'app. Queste autorizzazioni vengono revocate se disinstalli l'app o chiami disassociate(). Un'app è responsabile della cancellazione delle proprie associazioni se l'utente non ne ha più bisogno, ad esempio quando si disconnette o rimuove i dispositivi associati.

Implementa l'accoppiamento del dispositivo associato

Per stabilire e gestire una connessione a un dispositivo associato, utilizza CompanionDeviceManager. Questa sezione spiega come personalizzare la finestra di dialogo per la richiesta di accoppiamento quando associ l'app a dispositivi associati tramite Bluetooth, BLE e Wi-Fi.

Specifica i dispositivi companion

Il seguente esempio di codice mostra come aggiungere il flag <uses-feature> a un file manifest. Questo indica al sistema che la tua app intende configurare dispositivi associati.

Elenca i dispositivi per tipo

Puoi visualizzare tutti i possibili dispositivi companion disponibili che corrispondono al filtro fornito oppure limitare la visualizzazione a una singola opzione (mostrata nella figura 1). Per configurarlo, crea un filtro che specifichi i tipi di dispositivi cercati dalla tua app o imposta setSingleDevice() su true (mostrato nella figura 2).

Per applicare un filtro all'elenco di dispositivi companion visualizzato nella finestra di dialogo della richiesta, controlla se il Bluetooth è attivo o controlla se il Wi-Fi è attivo. Dopo aver abilitato una connessione, puoi aggiungere una DeviceFilter. Le seguenti sottoclassi di DeviceFilter specificano i tipi di dispositivi a cui la tua app può essere associata in base a un tipo di connessione:

Dopo aver inizializzato AssociationRequest, esegui la funzione associate() su CompanionDeviceManager. La funzione associate() accetta l'accoppiamento dell'oggetto richiesta e del callback. Per consentire agli utenti di selezionare il tipo di dispositivi a cui vogliono connettersi, avvia un'attività di preferenza con il parametro intentSender nella funzione onAssociationPending(). I risultati di questa azione vengono inviati al frammento nella funzione onActivityResult() dell'attività relativa alle preferenze. Questo ti aggiorna quando l'utente effettua una selezione in base al risultato. A questo punto puoi accedere al dispositivo selezionato. Quando un utente seleziona un dispositivo Bluetooth, il risultato inviato è un oggetto BluetoothDevice. Analogamente, quando la funzione onAssociationPending() rileva che un utente seleziona un dispositivo Bluetooth LE, aspettati un oggetto android.bluetooth.le.ScanResult.
