Downloads for Google Pixel

If you are a developer with a supported Google Pixel device for testing, this page helps you download an Android 11 Developer Preview system image and flash it to your device. You'll need to do a full device reset, so make sure to backup your data first. Android 11 Developer Preview builds are available for Google Pixel 4 / 4XL, Pixel 3a / 3a XL, Pixel 3 / 3 XL, and Pixel 2 / 2 XL only.

Use the links and instructions below to update your supported device to the latest milestone build for your device. See Get Android 11 for other ways to get Android 11 for testing and development.

Use Android Flash Tool

Android Flash Tool is a new way to easily and securely flash a Developer Preview system image to your supported Pixel device. Just connect your device over USB and visit the Android Flash Tool using the appropriate link for your device below. Android Flash Tool works with any Web browser that supports WebUSB, such as Chrome or Edge 79+.

The Android Flash Tool guides you step-by-step through the process of flashing your device - there's no need to have tools installed, but you will need to unlock your device and enable USB Debugging from Developer Options.

To use the Android Flash Tool, find your device type in the table below, click the link to go to flash.android.com, and follow the onscreen instuctions. Note that flashing or from a Developer Preview or Beta build requires a full data wipe, so make sure to you back up your device before flashing. Flash Tool instructions are here.

After you've flashed a Developer Preview build to your Pixel device, you'll automatically be offered over-the-air updates of later Developer Preview and Beta builds. We'll deliver flashable images as well as the OTA updates, so you can choose the approach that works best for your test environment.

Flash your device manually

You can download the latest Android 11 system image and manually flash it to your device. See the table below to download the system image for your test device. Manually flashing a device is useful if you need precise control over the test environment or if you need to reinstall frequently, such as when performing automated testing.

Once you back up your device data and download the matching system image below, you can flash the image onto your device.

You can choose to revert to a production build at any time - to do that, you'll need to flash the appropriate system image from the Pixel factory images page. Note that you'll need to do a full reset in this case as well.
