系统会根据用户点击的内容不断学习哪些搜索结果更相关。因此，当用户输入相关查询的前几个字母时，之前选择的热门联系人或应用就会浮动到顶部。
搜索框架还为开发者提供了一种方法，可让他们轻松在快速搜索框中显示其应用中的相关内容。
相机、摄像机和图库
经过更新的界面提供集成的相机、摄像机和图库体验。
用户可以在静态模式和视频录制模式之间快速切换。此外，用户还可以通过图库选择多张照片进行删除。
Android 1.6 还提供了更快的相机体验。与上一个版本相比，相机启动速度现在提高了 39%，从完成一张照片到下一张照片的时间缩短了 28%。
VPN，802.1x

Google Play 更新
新版 Google Play 界面

- 在某个类别中，用户可以浏览热门付费、热门免费和新品。

展开式搜索框架
Android 搜索框架已重新设计和扩展，以便第三方应用有机会在全局搜索工具快速搜索框中显示其应用中的内容。为此，开发者需要让其应用可供“搜索”，并在回答用户查询时提供建议。如需启用应用搜索建议，用户只需在“搜索”设置的“可搜索项”下选择他们希望收到建议的每个应用即可。
文字转语音引擎
Android 1.6 采用了名为 Pico 的多语言语音合成引擎。

If you're using a T-Mobile G1 or Dream device, you'll need to download the\nSpeechSynthesis Data Installer from Google Play, which includes the \"voices\" needed by the\ntext-to-speech engine.\n\n### Gestures\n\nA new gestures framework provides application developers with a framework for creating, storing,\nloading, and recognizing gestures and associating them with specific actions.\n\nDevelopers can use the new GestureBuilder tool included in the Android 1.6 SDK to generate libraries\nof gestures to include with their application.\n\n### Accessibility\n\nAndroid 1.6 provides a new accessibility framework.\nWith this framework, developers can create accessibility plugins that respond to user input,\nsuch as making a sound when a new window is shown, vibrating when navigating to the top of\na list, and providing spoken feedback.\n\n### Expanded support for screen densities and resolutions\n\nAndroid 1.6 adds screen support that enables applications to be rendered properly on different\ndisplay resolutions and densities.
