This impacts all developers worldwide who offer subscriptions to users in South Korea. Review the impact to your subscriptions. • The photo and video permissions policy deadline is here. Apps that require these permissions can request an extension and submit a declaration form in Play Console on the app content page by May 28, 2025. • The updated medical functionalities policy starts on May 28, 2025. The scope has been updated to incorporate medical guidance and disclaimer requirements for health and medical apps. • The news policy will now include both news and magazine apps. We are also expanding the self-declaration. All these apps will need to complete the updated self-declaration and will be notified in Play Console when it becomes available, by August 27, 2025.
